What does MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® inform about ?
The MADE IN GREEN product label informs customers that their products are produced under the strictest guidelines:
- Safety in the workplace
- Use of materials that are free of harmful substances
- Transparent traceability of the product
How to trace a product?
Consumers can use a unique product ID or QR code to trace all production steps transparently. Scan the QR code on the hangtag of your product or online on the product page and trace the entire production chain of it.
The label MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® combines the requirements of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and STeP by OEKO-TEX® and stipulates compliance with the strictest social and ecological criteria.
STeP by OEKO-TEX® - Sustainable Textile Production
The certification system STeP by OEKO-TEX® comprehensively documents the entire textile value-added chain clearly and transparently with regard to sustainable and socially responsible production conditions. To guarantee comparability across the globe, the STeP criteria are standardised worldwide.
The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a globally standardised, independent testing and certification system for textile products. The tests for harmful substances are fundamentally based on the respective purpose of the textiles. The more intensive the skin contact of a product and the more sensitive the skin, the stricter the requirements that must be fulfilled in terms of human ecology.
All products by Zimmerli of Switzerland are certified in product class II for articles whose surface mainly comes into direct contact with the skin (underwear, bed linen, T-shirts, socks, etc.) and are therefore free of harmful substances and do not pose any risk to human health.
