Data collection and use for processing contracts and opening customer accounts

Third-party hosting services

Data are also processed by a third-party provider that we have engaged to render hosting and website presentation services on our behalf. This provider processes on its servers all data that are collected in the manner specified below when you visit our website or fill in forms made available for this purpose in our online shop. Data are processed on other servers only in the scope described herein.

The collection, processing and use of the data required are carried out in accordance with PayPal’s terms and conditions.

 

Credit check

Identity and credit check by selection of Billpay payment methods

When choosing a payment method provided by our partner Billpay GmbH, you will be asked in the ordering process to agree to provide data required for payment processing and for identity and credit checks conducted by Billpay. After your approval, your data (first and last name, street, house number, postcode, place, date of birth, telephone number and bank account details for Direct Debit) and other data associated with your order will be transmitted to Billpay.
For the purpose of distinct identity and credit check, Billpay or a Partner company authorised by Billpay, transmits data to credit reporting agencies (credit bureaus) and obtains from this information and if necessary additional information on credit checks based on mathematical and statistical methods. This credit check is influenced by your place of residence. Detailed information on this and employed credit agencies can be found in Billpay’s (GmbH) privacy policy.
Furthermore Billpay utilizes when necessary a third party for the settlement and prevention of fraud. Data gained from this third party is encrypted so that the stored data is only accessible to Billpay. This data will only be used when you select a payment option in cooperation with Billpay, otherwise the data will automatically expire after 30 minutes.

Use of data when subscribing to the e-mail newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will regularly send you our e-mail newsletter based on your consent, using the data required or disclosed by you separately for this purpose.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter service at any time. For this purpose you can either send a message to the contact option specified below or use the opt-out link in the newsletter. Our newsletter is sent via the provider Mailchimp. Your e-mail address, your name (if you provide your name) and the use of the newsletter will be stored by Mailchimp in the USA (for further information we refer to the privacy policy of Mailchimp). Mailchimp is currently certified according to the Privacy Shield.

Product recommendations by e-mail 

As a customer of Zimmerli Textil AG eBoutique, you will receive regular product recommendations by e-mail. You will receive these product recommendations irrespective of whether you have subscribed to our newsletter.
